Mr Santdeep Paun is a Consultant Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgeon and Medical Director of Symmetry Clinic. In the NHS, he works at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals, where he was formerly Head of Department. His practice includes complex nasal and facial plastic surgery, and he receives referrals from other surgeons from within the region and elsewhere in the UK.
He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, where he teaches students and is involved in clinical research, particularly in rhinoplasty and aesthetic reconstruction following facial trauma.
Mr Paun has maintained a strong academic and teaching focus throughout his career. He is regularly invited to present at national and international meetings and teaches surgeons on a range of facial plastic surgery courses. He also runs a rhinoplasty surgery course in London.
He established and served as the inaugural President of the European Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is the current President of the International Board. His work with these organisations has focused on certification, examination and peer review in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
His specialist training has centred on nasal and facial plastic surgery. Following training in London, he completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery with periods of training in Amsterdam, Lyon, Toronto and a Harvard University-affiliated hospital in Boston.
He now teaches and trains surgeons internationally and regularly receives visiting surgeons who observe his clinical work. He has also been featured in Tatler magazine’s cosmetic surgery guide and its Best Doctors guide
