Dr Lokesh Kumar, is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and Chairman & HOD of the Centre for Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at Dr BLK Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. He has had a career spanning more than three decades in Plastic Surgery, including 18 years as Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
He completed his MS in General Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in 1985, followed by MCh in Plastic Surgery from PGIMER in 1988.
He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, Chicago, USA. His further training in Plastic Surgery included appointments at Canniesburn Hospital, Glasgow, and Dundee Royal Infirmary in the United Kingdom.
His academic experience has included undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in India and the UK, as well as teaching appointments at PGIMER Chandigarh, RML Hospital New Delhi, Dundee Royal Infirmary and Canniesburn Hospital.
Dr Kumar has served as visiting professor at national and international institutions and has been extensively involved as faculty, guest lecturer, scientific chairman and organiser at meetings in aesthetic plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation and reconstructive surgery.
His special interest is Cosmetic Surgery, which constitutes the majority of his current practice.
Beyond work his hobbies include Indian Classical Music, Flying (Holding Private Pilot’s License with 100 Hrs flying Experience) and Golf.
