Aesthetic Medicine Course (Online) is a foundational, theory-based program designed for licensed medical professionals exploring aesthetic medicine for the first time.

This 3-month self-paced program offers structured academic grounding through online access to recorded lectures, live demos and protocol-based tutorials. It is ideal for individuals with no prior exposure to clinical aesthetics who wish to build core understanding before progressing to hands-on learning or full-time practice.

While this program does not include patient interaction or live clinical mentorship, it offers an academically aligned preview of the full Fellowship curriculum.

Course Mission

To provide accessible, high-quality theoretical training in aesthetic medicine for beginners, enabling them to build conceptual clarity, treatment literacy, and ethical understanding, all without the logistical demands of travel or clinical attendance.

Course Format & Delivery

The course is delivered entirely online and includes 3 Month access to :

  • Structured, pre-recorded lectures.
  • ⁠Live Demonstration Sessions conducted by expert faculty across neuromodulator, fillers, lasers, and skin procedures.
  • Protocol sheets, documentation templates, and case discussions.

No hands-on component is included. No clinical supervision or patient assignments are offered in this format.

1. Academic Qualifications

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications from an institution recognised by the National Medical Council (NMC) or the Dental Council of India (DCI):

  • MBBS or higher medical qualification
  • MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery only)

Please note: Applicants with qualifications in Homeopathy or Ayurvedic medicine are not eligible. No exceptions will be made outside the above degree paths.

2. Clinical Experience

Unlike the hands-on fellowship, the online course does not require prior clinical experience in aesthetic medicine and is open to all eligible medical or dental professionals interested in aesthetic medicine.

3. Language Requirements

The course is conducted exclusively in English. No translation or interpretation services will be provided.

4. Technical Requirements

Since this is a hybrid course, candidates must have:

  • Access to a computer or laptop
  • Stable high-speed internet connection
  • Basic digital literacy

Initial orientation and technical support will be provided during the first week of the program.

FAQs

This is a foundational, theory-based program designed for licensed medical professionals seeking academic exposure to aesthetic medicine. Delivered entirely online over 3 months, it includes pre-recorded lectures and faculty-led live demonstration sessions, but does not involve hands-on clinical training.

Applicants must hold a valid MBBS degree or higher (MD, MS, DNB) for medical professionals, or an MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) for dental professionals. These qualifications are aligned with National Medical Council and Dental Council of India regulations. International doctors with equivalent degrees are welcome to apply.

This course does not include clinical training or a competency certificate. While it offers strong academic grounding, clinical practice should only be undertaken by those with appropriate licensure and extensive hands-on training, such as through the RIAMS Fellowship program.

Yes. Participants who complete this course may apply for the full Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine at RIAMS. Academic overlap is considered, and relevant credit may be applied to the theoretical phase upon selection.
