Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine
March 10, 2025 2025-07-16 17:57Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine

Module 1: 7 days

The Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine is a clinically oriented program for licensed medical professionals who have completed prior certification and training in aesthetics but have yet to begin their independent aesthetic practice.
It is particularly suited to practitioners with foundational knowledge who seek a structured course with clinical exposure, protocol clarity and supervised skill refinement.
A distinguishing feature of this course is the allocation of individual patients to each delegate for each aesthetic indication during the clinical phase. This ensures procedural continuity, from assessment and planning to treatment execution, under direct faculty supervision. The practice phase further extends this learning by offering real-time clinical decision-making opportunities in a semi-private format.
The curriculum is delivered through a hybrid model and includes 6 months of online lectures, 7 days of intensive hands-on work with real patients, followed by 4 additional clinical practice days in a mentored, semi-private format.
Course Mission
The Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine aims to enable licensed medical professionals to transition into clinical aesthetic practice with clarity, confidence, and competence. The program is designed to build clinical depth, procedural accuracy, and patient-centred communication, essential for safe and ethical aesthetic care.
Course Format & Delivery
The Fellowship is delivered through a structured hybrid format:
6 Months Online Access
Delivered via live-recorded online lectures, interactive case discussions, and periodic knowledge assessments. Participants can learn at their own pace.

11 Days of Hands-On Training
Module 1: 7-days Intensive Hands-on Training
Dates: 12-18 September 2025
Held at RIAMS’ clinical facility, this phase offers intensive, supervised training on real patients. Each participant is assigned individual patients across key indications for neuromodulators, dermal fillers, lasers, and regenerative procedures, under direct faculty supervision.
Module 2: 2-days Foundational Semi-Private Training
Semi-private mentored sessions where participants treat their own patients, with a focus on protocol refinement, independent planning and confidence-building.
Module 3: 2-days Advanced Semi-Private Training
The remaining two semi-private days are reserved for advanced indications, including complex filler zones, threads, and combination therapies. Scheduling for these sessions is conditional upon submission and approval of a clinical logbook.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will:- Independently be able to evaluate patients, develop personalised treatment plans and perform core aesthetic procedures with clinical accuracy.
- Confidently navigate the entire patient journey, from consultation and consent to treatment delivery, complication management and follow-up.
- Transition from theoretical knowledge to safe, independent clinical practice in aesthetic medicine.

FAQs
This fellowship is an advanced training program that combines structured academic learning with supervised clinical hands-on. Participants function as fellows under experienced faculty, participating in didactic lectures, case-based discussions, hands-on procedures, and reflective practice within a live clinical setting.
Applicants must hold an MBBS or higher medical qualification (e.g., MD, MS, DNB) as recognized by the National Medical Council of India. Dental applicants must hold an MDS degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), as per the Dental Council of India’s regulatory framework. International applicants must possess an equivalent degree in their home country.
Yes, provided you hold a qualifying degree (as outlined above), aesthetic procedures can be practiced under the scope permitted by national regulations. In India, MBBS and above (for medical) and MDS (OMFS) for dental practitioners are legally allowed to practice aesthetic medicine. Actual scope of practice may vary depending on local/state laws and must be independently verified by the participant.
Yes. International applicants are welcome to apply and benefit from the program’s globally recognized faculty. We provide necessary documentation to support visa applications, though securing a visa remains the responsibility of the participant.
Due to the patient-allocated nature of training, missed hands-on dates cannot be rescheduled and no refunds will be considered. Participants are strongly advised to plan attendance well in advance.
Yes. One patient per indication is assigned to each fellow for every core procedure. This is made possible through the institute’s integration within an active clinical practice, ensuring high patient volume and diverse procedural exposure.
For the mandatory 7-day clinical phase, all patients are assigned by the institute. However, during the semi-private mentorship days, fellows are required to bring their own patients for independent treatment planning and execution under faculty supervision.
To access the final two semi-private mentorship days (which cover advanced procedures), participants must submit a logbook detailing their post-course practice, indicating volume and variety of injectables performed. This ensures they have gained sufficient real-world experience before advancing to complex indications.
Yes. The program includes modules on ethical patient communication, consent protocols, clinical documentation, and basic principles of aesthetic practice setup. Business management and ethical marketing concepts are also discussed to support practice-readiness.
Aesthetic Medicine Training

What Our Participants Say
" I have joined this course to upskill my dermatology practice in the field of aesthetic. I'm really glad and totally satisfied the way they have taught me. I'm really thankful to Dr. Pragati for this opportunity and she's given individual attention to me and helped to cater my needs according to my weaknesses and she also identified my strength, so I'm really happy. I definitely recommend this course for everybody who wants to join the field of aesthetic medicine."
Dr. Saniya Zaffar
Dermatologist
OMAN
" This program was a total game changer for me. Despite completing multiple courses before, I never had the confidence to actually inject. But here, I treated real patients under expert guidance from consultation to execution. That hands-on experience gave me the clarity and courage I was missing all along. I now feel truly ready to practice independently. Highly recommend this to every doctor who’s still hesitant to take that first real step."
Dr.Sanjay Saraf
Plastic Surgeon
Dubai
" At RIAMS, I did a lot of things. I got the training from the experienced hand. I learned about injectables like Botox, fillers in details. I also learned intensively about the lasers and also the Mesotherapy. Pragati ma'am, she's lovely, she's very nice and her knowledge is extensive. I like her teaching style. It's not a one way, it's a two way. You are talking with the patients, doing treatments and you are having the like a real clinic scenario. "
Dr. Puja Rajbhandari
Oculoplastic Surgeon
Nepal
" I am very much impressed with this course. We did lots and lots of hands-on, which is very rare in any other institute. I am really thankful to Dr. Pragati. She is a really great mentor. She just won't teach us about the procedures only, but also hone our own skills in every possible aspect. And that gave me so much confidence. I would like to recommend this course to everyone because this is the best place where you can get lots of hands-on and and practical knowledge. "
